GameChanger Membership and Scoreboard

For the 2nd year, Oakland Varsity Baseball will score games on the GameChanger scoring system.  This allows family and fans to follow the Patriots whenever and wherever they play.  Simply get the app for your phone or iPad, or pull up the site on your computer, and follow along.

You can sign to get alerts for the start of the game, half inning results, or if your player gets a hit.

Sign Up to Serve the 2014 Season Concessions Stand

With the 2014 Oakland Patriot baseball season fast approaching, now is the time to reserve your spot to help.  There are opportunities to serve both in the varsity and JV games, and Oakland is well-known for the homemade goodies and food.  In the early part of the season, chili and soup are really good.  And, don’t forget, the best desserts to bring are banana pudding and peach cobbler!

Season Passes and Scoreboard Sponsors available for the 2014 Season

Season passes and Scoreboard Sponsors for the 2014 season are now available for purchase from any Oakland player parent.

Season passes can be purchased individually or by becoming a Super Patriot or Century Club member.  With 15 home varsity games, and 8 home JV games, the best deal is to purchase a club membership.

Patriots welcome new coach Zach Burns

Zach Burns has joined the coaching staff at Oakland for the 2014 season.  Burns, who is also a faculty member at Oakland, brings to the Patriots his experience and expertise as an infielder.

Zach prepped at Jo Byrns HS in Adams, TN, where he was a 2-sport athlete.  He was All District in baseball his junior year and went on to play collegiate baseball at Freed Hardeman University.

Patriots welcome former Blue Raider Joey McClung

The Oakland Patriots welcome a new addition to the coaching staff for the 2014 season.  Joey McClung, a 4 year letter winner for the MTSU Blue Raider baseball program and recent MTSU graduate, joins the Patriots and looks to add valuable insight to the program.

McClung, who prepped at White House Heritage High School, was a prep standout in baseball and football.  He was a 4-year letterman in football and baseball, and added 2 letters in basketball.  He was selected … Read the rest
