Oakland baseball has a long tradition of great baseball. Just take a look at the Tradition Wall outside the Patriot locker room and you’ll see more titles than most programs in Tennessee. Great coaching, combined with great athletes, has been the trademark of the program at Oakland. Welcome to Oakland Patriots Baseball! The 2011-2012 season promises to be an memorable one as we enter into another year of Patriots baseball. After graduating 12 seniors from the class of 2011, and the loss of 8 starters, the Patriots look to a rebuilding year and hope to continue the winning tradition that Oakland is known for. As one of the premier high school programs in Tennessee, Oakland High School has one of the finest facilities in the south. Add to that a long and storied winning tradition, a stellar coaching staff, and hard working athletes, and you have the ingredients for a winning program and a great experience of high school baseball! June 28th, 2011Patriot named to All-Midstate Team.
June 15th, 2011For the second year in a row, Lipscomb signee Griffin Moore (2011) was named to The Tennessean All-Midstate team. Moore was chosen to the third team as an infielder. In 2010, Moore was chosen as an outfielder.
In his senior year, Moore posted a .386 batting average in 114 AB’s with 18 walks and only 5 strikeouts. Moore led the Patriots with runs scored (38), hits (44), total bases (64) and walks (18). He was second on the team in slugging percentage (.561),… Read the rest

June 14th, 2011Two members of the Class of 2011 Patriots baseball team will continue their baseball careers at Volunteer State in Gallatin, TN. Stevie Smith, RHP, and Wesley Monaghan, IF, have committed to play for the Pioneers.
Ryan Hawks commits to play at Birmingham Southern.
May 16th, 2011Senior 1B/RHP Ryan Hawks has committed to play baseball at DIII powerhouse Birmingham Southern College.
Hawks was recruited to pitch and play in the field. “At first I just wanted to be a pitcher,” Hawks said. “But I’ve hit the ball well this year. I think I want to continue hitting.”
