The 2012 Oakland HS varsity baseball schedule has been released. This year’s schedule features matchups against several teams from the 2011 postseason, such as Overton HS, Independence HS, and Mt. Juliet HS, as well as the usual stiff competition from within District 7AAA.

The Oakland Baseball moms recently gathered together at Faithful Strokes in Murfreesboro for a time of creativity and fellowship, and came away with some really nice works of art. The event organizer, Sharron Hawks, wanted this to be time for the moms to get to know each other away from the busy confines of baseball. While the moms accomplished that goal, they also enjoyed some good food and were able to come away with a finished painting. … Read the rest

The 2012 Boston Butt Roast fundraiser has officially started! The roasts will be for sale and will be available for pick up on Friday morning, February 3, at the concessions stand at Mack Hawks Field at Oakland HS. As usual, Dale Collins, the Rib Man, will cook the roasts overnight on Thursday for pick up on Friday.
The pork roasts are 8-10 lbs. (before cooking) and cost $35. These roasts are best ones sold in Rutherford County and are perfect… Read the rest

The JV schedule for the upcoming 2012 season has been announced. The JV team will play home-away games against the usual District 7AAA foes, with games against Wilson Central, Mt. Juliet, and Centennial mixed in. The JV team will also play in two tournaments – the Blackman JV Tournament and the Independence JV Tournament. Download and print the schedule below.

The 2011 Oakland Baseball Golf Tournament was a huge success this year, making it 10 consecutive years the fundraiser has kick started the program. As one of the largest fundraisers for the program, the golf tournament continues to be a highlight and a great way to start the new season.
